Saco Grande takes a central strip on the north side of Florianópolis, linking the city core to the Cacupé–Canasvieiras corridor. The Baía Norte waterfront offers calm waters used for light watersports; the Itacorubi mangrove bounds the area to the south. Housing mixes gated-community homes, stand-alone sobrados and four-storey buildings. Established neighborhood retail, well-regarded private schools and a local Parcão are within walking distance. Thanks to direct SC-401 access, the drive to downtown runs around fifteen minutes outside peak hours.
